London Hotspot Find: Ace Hotel Shoreditch
ACE HOTEL, LONDON SHOREDITCH
It was about time The Ace Hotel opened its London outpost and when they finally did, they did it well. Naturally, the hotel is located in Shoreditch, London’s most creatively inclined neighbourhood and of course like the other Ace properties, the hotel also serves as a platform for the local and independent businesses, artisans and creators that inspire them the most.
Inside the hotel complex you’ll find a bewitching floral shop by Hattie Fox, you can refuel at ‘Lovage’ the takeaway organic juice bar, Eat at Hoi Polloi a restaurant from the guys behind London’s obscenely hip Bistrotheque, Linger at the Lobby café by Square Mile Coffee Roasters, grab a loaner from Tokyo Bike and of course dance the night away at The Basement bar/club where selected underground DJs spin their records. Why leave?
If you fit right into that London creative crowd, you’ll feel very much at home in the rooms on offer. Picture it like you’re staying at your successful designer friend’s Shoreditch apartment, while they’re off on an inspiration trip to Tokyo. Inside you’ll find a curated collection of furniture and things that your friend has acquired on trips around London and the world. You’ll probably leave feeling jealous that your apartment doesn’t look quite as cool.
Best Bit: Have you had your eye on those rather expensive A.P.C patchwork quilts made from fabrics of collections gone by? Conveniently, you’ll find one in your room so you’ll finally get that opportunity to try before you buy 🙂
